STORY

Kebun Kendeng Lembu estate is part of the state-owned PTPN XII Plantation, and one of the few government-run cacao operations known for special cacao genetics. The estate employs fixed and temporary workers to maintain the cacao plantation, harvest the cacao, and work in the post-harvesting centres. All employees are rewarded according to the national employee benefit system, and receive salaries and social security as prescribed by the government. A wider economy has emerged as a spin-off from the estate with job in for example transport, catering, supplies, and maintenance.
